The Raffles Hotel Museum looks at the history of Raffles Hotel largely in the context of the Golden Age of Travel.

A team of 24-hour personal Raffles Butlers endeavour to assist residents in all matters of business and leisure throughout their stay.

The Raffles Inc Lounge, located on the second storey of the Raffles Inc. wing is another haven where residents can work or relax at their wish. Designed as a study, it is fitted with personal computer workstations and printers, and stocked with a selection of international newspapers, business magazines as well as commercial/industrial trade directories.

Seven function rooms for meetings of up to 350 persons

Raffles Hotel is accompanied by lush greenery and landscaping around it’s premises. Housing more than 55,000 plants, the gardens make up a quarter of the total land area at Raffles Hotel Singapore. To showcase the flora in their gardens, the hotel has introduced a new ‘Garden Tour’ exclusively for hotel residents only.

Resident horticulturist Louie Fong and his team of five gardeners will offer them an insight into the lush landscaping at the hotel.

This garden tour will be made available for hotel residents on every first and third Wednesday of the month. Residents may contact their Raffles Butler for more information.

Palm Court
Raffles Hotel is surrounded by Livistona Palms, the fragrant Frangipanis and the distinctive Traveller’s Palms. The Palm Court provides the perfect setting for residents to relax by the shady verandahs, while the sweet scent of the Frangipani flowers fills the air.

Palm Garden
One of the Palm Garden's main feature would be the tall graceful Casuarina Trees planted in honour of Somerset Maugham who penned his first book of short stories set in the East, aptly titled The Casuarina Tree. The Heliconia, also know as 'Black Magic' is another unique plant at Palm Garden.

Fern Court
In the jungle-like Fern Court, there are a couple of magnificent Bread Fruit Trees which can grow up to a height of 20 metres. The buds of the beautiful pink Torch Gingers growing on the side of the garden, serve as an important ingredient in local dishes like laksa and rojak.

Raffles Courtyard
Raffles Courtyard is a popular alfresco dining venue that exudes immense tropical charm. The lush setting of the courtyard is mainly attributed to the grand looking Cyas, Petunias in its hanging baskets, firecracker-like Heliconias and the large leafed Monstera.

The Lawn
The Lawn is a favorite spot for garden parties and weddings. Graceful Peacock Flowers and Lantana Camara blooms throughout the year in the garden.

Spread over two levels, Raffles Hotel Arcade houses a fine selection of elegant international fashion brands, watchmakers and jewellers to art galleries and antique boutiques. Set amidst a backdrop of colonial-styled architecture and tropical gardens, the arcade offers a shopping experience like no other.

Designed in late Victorian style by theatre specialist, Charles Cosler of New York, Jubilee Hall features 388 luxurious seat, velvet curtains, a balcony and an expansive stage.

Outside the walls of Jubilee Hall are classic fresco murals of landscapes of old Asia by renowned artist, Carlo Marchiori.

The gracious setting of the Jubilee Hall is the ideal venue for corporate events such as trade launches, seminars, lectures and award ceremonies. When night falls, the Hall presents a variety of plays, musicals, recitals, dances and films.

Adjacent to Jubilee Hall is a foyer area that serves as a venue for exhibitions, morning coffee breaks, afternoon teas or cocktail receptions.

The classes are introductory and recreational in nature, with each lasting between two to four hours, allowing patrons the flexibility of planning as few or as many classes as they wish to take.

The newly redesigned Raffles Culinary Academy seamlessly marries sophistication in technology together with the inviting comforts of home. It facilitates gastronomic learning in a medley of class style and formats including hands-on cooking, cooking demonstrations, Chef’s Table and a private dining room. Orchestrated by Raffles Hotel’s culinarians, programmes are choreographed around international cuisines and various specialty classes. It is located on the third storey of Raffles Hotel Arcade and is open daily except Monday.
