On arriving in Singapore, you will be given
either a 14-day or 30-day permit, depending on your
stated length of stay. You may extend your 14-day permit for another
two weeks, but you may be asked to produce an air ticket out of

In In Singapore, the trafficking of illegal
drugs is a capital offense and carries the death penalty for more
than 15g of heroin, 30g of morphine, 500g of cannabis, 200g of
cannabis resin and 1.2kg of opium.

Punishment for the trafficking of drugs
in lesser amounts ranges from two years in prison and two strokes
of the rotan (cane), to 30 years in prison and 15 strokes.

|
|
|
On a lighter note, the importation of chewing
gum is banned in Singapore, and retailers on the island are also
banned from selling it
